Up in the mountains, the wood of old farmhouses creaks. Down by the lake, the water is right outside the door. Between them lie almost a thousand metres in elevation and two celebrations that could not be more different.

Kirchleitn and Beim Oswald are two small villages of old mountain farmhouses in the heart of the Nockberge. You say “I do” in the meadow while the wind moves through the grass, and in the evening everyone sits at long tables in the Tenne: up to 200 people who have come just for you.
Your family and friends sleep in the houses all around. There are no cars. When the music stops late at night, everyone walks home under a sky full of stars. And the next morning you are all together again at breakfast, still a little sleepy and very happy.

You stand in the garden under the parasols, the water sparkles, and suddenly everything goes quiet. You look at each other, and then you say “I do”. Afterwards you celebrate in the light-filled conservatory and on the terrace beneath the chestnut trees, overlooking the lake. And when the last guest has gone, you simply walk upstairs.
Your guests sleep under the same roof, in 23 rooms and 5 suites, all with a balcony, terrace or garden. In the morning everyone has breakfast together on the terrace, and the Schiefling lido is 300 metres away.
By the way: Giulia’s colour is called Celeste, the turquoise of Bianchi racing bikes. Legend has it that the colour was created to match the eyes of a queen. Whether that is true, nobody knows.

In Veldenright in the heart of lake life

Goritschniggs Hotel stands on Casinoplatz in the centre of Velden. The lakeside promenade is just a few steps away.
If you wish, the hotel is exclusively yours and your guests’ on your day. After dinner you stroll hand in hand down to the lake and watch the lights of Velden shimmer on the water. The next day you walk to the lido, where entry is free for hotel guests.

The Eco Lodges stand in Döbriach, right on the shore of Lake Millstatt, with an open view across the water to the mountains. The meadow runs down to the shore, and the water is a few steps away.
This is where you celebrate in a small circle: a wedding, a birthday or simply time with the people who matter to you. When the sun sets behind the mountains, you are standing exactly where you should be. And your guests sleep in the 25 tiny houses just behind.

At a wedding, the table is where the stories are told, the laughter happens and the glasses are raised. For those hours, our kitchen team cooks in all four of our houses, in the mountains and by the lake. The menu follows the seasons, with produce from the local farmers. Set menu or buffet, we plan the food together with you, vegetarian and vegan just as gladly. And if the weather plays along, you lay a long table under the open sky and stay seated until the candles have burned down.

Where can we get married in the mountains in Carinthia?
In Bad Kleinkirchheim, in the heart of the Nockberge, at Kirchleitn and Beim Oswald. The largest venue is the Tenne with room for up to 200 guests seated. Your guests stay in the farmhouses of the two villages, a few steps from the party.
How many guests can we invite?
In the mountains: up to 200 seated in the Tenne at Kirchleitn, up to 80 in the Bauernwirt. At Beim Oswald up to 100 in the Wildfütterung and up to 70 in the Alte Mühle. By the lake we work out the number with you, depending on whether you celebrate inside, in the garden or on the terrace.
What happens if it rains?
Then you celebrate indoors: in the Tenne or the Bauernwirt, in the Wildfütterung or the Alte Mühle, and by the lake in Giulia’s winter garden. For the children there is an indoor playroom at Kirchleitn.
Is there another place by a lake?
Yes, the Eco Lodges on Lake Millstatt: 25 tiny houses right on the shore, for small celebrations with the sunset over the water. Just ask us.
Can we get married on Lake Wörthersee?
Yes. At Giulia Slow Residence in Schiefling you celebrate in the winter garden and on the chestnut terrace with a view of the lake. In Velden, Goritschniggs Hotel on Casinoplatz is yours, a few steps from the lakeside promenade.
Can we book a house exclusively?
Yes. Each of our venues can be booked in full for your wedding. On that day the house belongs to your party.
Who cooks at our wedding?
In all four houses it is our kitchen team with its farm-to-table cooking. Much of it comes from local farmers, the rest as far as possible from the region and in season.
Where do our guests stay?
Right on site: in the mountains in the houses of the holiday villages, by the lake in the rooms and suites of the Giulia or at Goritschniggs Hotel.
